Sheva’s Original Free Walking Tour of Mostar

Sheva’s Original Free Walking Tour of Mostar is a 2 hour tour that traverses 600 years of Mostar’s history on foot. The free tour covers many aspects of Mostar’s complicated distant and more recent past including local customs, language, politics, architecture and cuisine. In addition, our tours include our favorite anecdotes and stories about Mostar and provide you with an insider’s perspective on food and entertainment that should not be missed while you are in town!

During our Free Walking Tour of Mostar, we will visit many historical sites and landmarks, including the Old Bridge and Diver’s Club, Kujundžiluk, Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque, the Mausoleum of Osman Đikić, and the Old Gymnasium. Not only will we walk through the UNESCO-designated Old Town, emblematic of the Ottoman Period, but areas which showcase the Austro-Hungarian expansion of Mostar and the Yugoslav period, including the Bulevar, the front line during the Wars of Yugoslav Succession.

We strive to create a unique experience during each tour that responds to guests individual interest and questions about Mostar and the wider region. We won’t shy away from difficult questions or topics and because we are independently operated, so our tours are not scripted. Because of Mostar’s recent tumultuous history, we believe it is our responsibility to provide our guests a well-balanced and objective perspective while also retaining our personal approach.

This tour is entirely tip-based and payment is up to your discretion, which means you pay according to what you feel our free tour experience is worth!
